How did I get into Software Development, you ask?

One day, I was unhappy with the degree I chose and I thought:

"What is something completely different that I could do and that will provide for my family?".

I searched through the degrees offered at my university and saw Software Engineering. I thought:

"This sounds hard, I wonder if I can do hard things"...and so I did!
